Buy books online – Many online stores sell college textbooks at discounted prices and can also be a source for users selling their books at an even cheaper price. Consider looking at Amazon, eBay, and even your local Craigslist.

Download them for free – Many websites offer e-books that can be downloaded for free or for a minimal fee. You can access these digital books either with a digital reader like Kindle or with a tablet computer.

Search for older versions – Although some universities recommend students to purchase the latest versions of books, it is a good practive to compare them with older versions because the changes are most likely minor.

Share books – One of the most common methods to save money from textbooks is to gather your classmates and pinch in to buy an expensive book that you could share. You could even create a study group in the process, thus making learning more fun and less stressful.
